A longer guide for anyone with an idea for a digital product and nothing built yet. Use the contents list to jump to the part you need.
Pick one problem to solve
A product that tries to help with everything is hard to describe and harder to buy. Write down the single problem your buyer wants gone, in the words they would use. If you cannot say it in one sentence, the product is still too wide.
Choose the format
The format should match how much help the buyer needs. A guide suits someone who needs information. A workbook suits someone who needs to do something. A toolkit suits someone who wants both.
Start with the smallest format that solves the problem. You can bundle several into a toolkit later.
Set the price
Price against the result, not the page count. A short guide that saves a buyer a weekend is worth more than a long one that saves them nothing.
Write the product page
Lead with the problem, describe what the buyer gets, and show a preview. Keep one button on the page.
Launch small
Share the product with the people already reading your work. Their questions will tell you what to change on the page before you spend anything on promotion.
